Renovation of St. Petersinsel to Be Carried Out in Phases
The planned renovation work at the hotel on St. Petersinsel will be spread across the winter months of 2026 and 2027. Following in-depth assessments and extensive preparations, those responsible have decided to carry out the overall project in two phases.
St. Petersinsel is a site of historical and scenic significance. Careful planning and coordinated implementation of the individual construction phases are therefore essential. The first phase will begin as scheduled in September 2026. The remaining work, particularly in the guest rooms, will take place in the fall/winter of 2027.
The original goal was to complete the construction work within a single winter. However, as planning progressed, it became clear that the project’s requirements were more demanding than initially anticipated, and that completion within that timeframe was not feasible. Implementing the project in phases allows us to best accommodate the unique characteristics of this location and ensure the quality of the work.
We regret the delay and the associated consequences. At the same time, we are convinced that this decision lays the foundation for the hotel’s sustainable and high-quality development.
